Sprint Developers

I'm pretty sure it doesn't work. Sprint included the QJAE APIs in the SDK but there's something missing on the backend or something disabled on the phone that prevents the location APIs from working on a A700. It doesn't matter if you have a digitally signed application or a developer root enabled handset.

I'm able to get a fix now. I had to manipulate the ip address and set it to the pde address. But the data is not consistent. Its totally random. Sometimes the address is exactly right and other times its just off somewhere else. I think the Sprint PDE has some issues. And yeah, the time out problem is still there sometimes.

Could you explain what you did to set the IP address to the pde address (and what the pde is...)

Also, did you have to sign your application, or just enable developer root?

Can anyone provide a valid PDE IP address & port so I can get a GPS fix ?

j2me users will you let us know what changes you made to get succesful fix? You don't have to disclose PDE IP# if you don't want to but i would like to know what app changes/ API's you called to get it to give you fix.

Dang! If you can get a GPS fix, please let us know!!! This whole thing is so frustrating, I've invested too much money to give up now. Maybe someone can even implement an open source PDE server or something.
